Reflection, renewal and of course fabulous furniture

Happy 2020, furniture lovers--

I don't know about you but usually after New Year's, January just becomes a depressing, dark and long month, where I am hard-pressed to put on my workout clothes in the wee hours of morning. But with this past week of sun? Woo hoo! It's definitely helped me stick with my exercise goals.

Speaking of goals, I read a recent report from the World Meteorological Organisation that 2019 was the 2nd hottest year on record, and the last five years the hottest on record...gulp! While I'm not usually a 'New Year's resolution' kind of girl, when I read that report, it got me thinking about my passion for sustainability and my goal to live as low-impact as possible. Which then got me reinvigorated to up my game and recommit.

New year or not, I find it's important to reflect on ways in which we can better ourselves. Maybe that means attending a yoga retreat to renew your spirit (FYI Krisztina is designing a new 'chair yoga' class, coming soon), or maybe it's busting out the paint to renew your kitchen table. To help inspire you with this, Kate and I will be running a free workshop next month to show some tips & tricks on repair and upcycling of furniture, in collaboration with the Impact Hub Basel (sign up here).

Whatever it is for you, I wish you the energy and motivation to go for it! And feel free to stop in the showroom to say hello, we'd love to swap inspirational "goal stories" with you.

Until then,

Carrie and the team
