Great lines and a beautiful wood on these mid-century chairs.
They also have a Basel connection: one of the chairs has a shipping label on the bottom that shows they were sent from the Silkeborg Møbelfabrik in Denmark to a company called Idealheim in Basel. Idealheim was founded by Swiss designer Dieter Waeckerlin (1930 - 2013), condsidered to be one of the most succesful Swiss furniture designers of this time. We think that the chairs were designed by Idealheim and manufactured in Denmark.
These are vintage chairs with new seat padding and alcantara fabric. The wood frames of the chairs are in good stable condition, though note that the curved edges of the backrest do have some fairly substantial wear marks (see photo), and one of the backrests shows signs of repair.
These may be purchased in either a set of two or four.
